A Foray into Black and White Photography

We stopped in the entrance to our communal car park yesterday in the late afternoon and I just noticed the juxtaposition of dried grasses against the grey of the Besparmak Mountains shrouded in cloud. I got my husband to wait (not a happy camper) until I got a photo but then decided that black and white suited the image better due to its moodiness.  I don’t often use black and white, in fact I can’t ever remember creating a black and white image, but always a first time for everything!

Spring is Sprung

Here’s a little ditty for Spring:

Spring is sprung

The grass is riz.

I wonder where the birdies iz!

I wandered around our garden and parking area today and got the following photos, showing that Spring is popping its lovely head up as it’s now quite mild here in North Cyprus, thank goodness.

Super Moon over North Cyprus

I just happened to look out the window this evening, around 6.30pm, to see this month’s Super Full Moon shining big and bright, much more brilliant than the last Super Moon that everyone banged on about. Here it was pathetic!  So here’s the lovely full moon shining down on our little island in the eastern Mediterranean and also another image with Pixlr overlays (just ‘cos I felt like having a bit of creative fun!).
