Creating the Future

I’ve been awhile posting as we’ve had a very difficult situation with a huge hotel construction site opening up beside our apartment, noise of trucks going past night and day, and huge swags of dust coating our home. It’s been extremely stressful, exacerbated my fibromyalgia, and stirred up a right old cocktail of fibro fog in my head which left me mentally very incapacitated. You might say my creative mojo went walkabout for a long time, so I had to be patient until it returned. This morning I woke up feeling far more clear-headed, so I’m not going mad, just pottering with some art, and the above is Mo’s Mojo back at work, fired up for a bit of creative action!

I started up with a close-up photo (believe it or not) of some dried sage I keep in a neat little vase on my desk, it’s a very cleansing and protective plant spirit. I never quite know what I’m going to create, just that I got a nudge and a wink to work with the sage.

I fiddled around with various gizmos on Toolwiz, gradually growing the image until I got a plain version of the above, but felt it needed some magic within it. So I did a search for apps and found GlitterPhoto which is brilliant to use and added in all the sparkly bits.

Then I looked at it and wondered what the heck it represented!  Finally I remembered clear dream I had a while back where I was floating above the earth and looking at all the happenings below. I realised that, although it looked chaotic, there was in fact a sense of purposeful patterns below the seeming chaos. That’s what the above image represents – seeming chaos but magical change happening inexorably.

I believe we’re in a real upheaval here on this planet – a fundamental realignment where the interests of the very many are fighting their way to the surface, not just for humanity but for Mother Earth and all sentient creatures on board. We cannot leave our future to the billionaire class because it’s like Jabba the Hut, always looking to get more fat and bloated without any regard for the continued existence of this planet or future generations.

I think it’s exciting but only if we are co-creators – which means we have to get into action to create a future with a higher purpose. I’ve often looked at the battles which have gone on in the past when great upheaval has taken place – the advent of the industrial age, for example, and more currently technological change with the industrial age dying away. All too often, change has been accompanied by resistance, mainly because the employing class uses new technology to enrich itself and impoverish the very many.

But if we accept change is happening, if we step up to the plate, we can create a future which is quite different – where creativity is unleashed, where people stop being passive and become active, where technological advances are used for the whole of society not to be hogged by a super-wealthy minority. So I’m adding in John Lennon’s “Imagine” because I think it’s a brilliant composition and it is intertwined with the above image!

Wild at Heart

I’ve been absent for a week or so as we received very upsetting news that a young man who we considered an adopted nephew had been killed in a motor bike accident in Perth, Western Australia, where we used to live. It has been a time of grief and memories for us of a fine young man who we watched grow up from a 5-year-old to meeting the love of his life, to the age of 45 when he was killed riding his Ducati bike. We miss him enormously but we know he will live on in our hearts.

The above image is called “Wild at Heart” – remember your wildness, your courage, your power, your creativity – however you live it, because you never know what each day will bring. Live to your upper limits to make the gift of your life here on earth worthwhile.

Love – the Healing Fire of the Heart

I sat and worked on this on my Lenovo tablet this afternoon.  I had no idea how much you can create with apps on a tablet, like a whole new creative door has opened for me. My favourite app is Toolwiz, an amazing app with so many functions that I still keep finding new ways to create art with this app.

I’m also rather indebted to President Trump because the awfulness of him and the swamp around him is inspiring me to work on creating images of beauty and colour rather than the turgid grey and black of the billionaire bloodsuckers.

One more post to finalise and then I’m off to sit with my foster dog, Rolo, who – after seven months with us – is off to the UK early Thursday morning to his new family.  I shall miss him immensely but I’m so glad we were able to provide him with a holding space until a new family became available to offer him a loving home, complete with garden, cats (he loves our cat) and someone who works from home each day. So he’ll be a complete lap dog with company so he can loll around as he does here – he would have to be the most bone idle dog we’ve ever come across but so affectionate and good-natured.

As Above, So Below

Fire and Light

This is a digital reworking of a volcano to draw back the shutters of illusion and show that there is no separation between our world and the galaxy which holds us all in its energetic and spiritual embrace.

As Above – the stars filling our night skies.

As Below – the stars united with the fire of earth.

In the centre of the volcano is the portal through which starlight flows to integrate with life on this wonderful planet of ours.

We are one with the Universe, with Mother Earth and with the Light within each of us.

Terra d’Amour

Terra D'Amour

I’ve been playing around with a photo I found on the internet of the earth surrounded by clouds.

I fiddled with the Mirror gizmo, found under the “Effects” section of PicMonkey, then worked on that image with gizmos on Photoshop where you can move colours around. I quite like this final image – of the earth heart-shaped, a smile at the bottom and the two black and white flares either side resembling dolphins/orcas as the representatives of the earth’s oceans.

Then I moved on to the “Sweethearts” section under “Themes” and changed the colours to rose, the colours of luuurve!

Very simple and great fun!!!

New Horizons

New Horizons

I created this from a photo a friend posted on Facebook of the Sayan Mountains which stretch across Asia.  I never quite know what I’m going to create, I just follow my intuition, pick an image which draws my attention, and then start fiddling around, this time with PicMonkey and Pixlr.
