Joy to the World

Another return to the Standing Stones of Callenish, and a photo taken by Dina, whose blog is: The World According to Dina

On this occasion, I worked on a background of hearts and then superimposed a photo of the standing stones. It seemed to me to remind us that, while we so often see stones as solid and impervious, in essence they are the Earth Elders with unlimited abilities. They are able to absorb the energies of joy, happiness and regeneration and release those energies on the ley lines of the Earth to infuse humans with positive vibrations to help cope with the challenges of daily life. The black spaces above and below the central image represent timelessness and the unknowable.

And if you’re wondering where I’m getting these ideas from, it’s as if the dream I had, I Am Memory, has unlocked an intuitive understanding of stone energies which lurked before but which now seem to be unlocked and flowing through me.

Stairway to Heaven

Yes, I know it’s the most obvious song but it suits this image so well: it’s a pathway on Machu Picchu in Peru, leading to the clouds, the spirits of this magnificent creation and memories of stone energies alive and thriving over the centuries.

Time Lords of Callenish

A few posts back I posted an image I created from a photo of the Stones of Callenish on the Orkney Islands in north Scotland by The World According to Dina.

The photos Dina took are awesome and so sensitive to the energies of the stone circle, the best I’ve seen of this amazing creation.

The image above is created from another photo of the Stones of Callenish which Dina took, and this time I was reminded of their power and energy as Time Lords – they look for all the world like beings of stone holding the circle to stabilise energy currents flowing throughout this planet.

Frog Dreaming

This image is based on a special site we found in Pingelly, on the wheatbelt of Western Australia. There were huge granite rocks that had images of frogs in them, they were quite clear. It was an incredibly peaceful place and we later found out that Frog was the totem of the Aboriginal tribe of that area.

I Am Memory!

Around 2.30am, my husband let our dogs out and Maggie Mae came back to drop something on the bed beside me. I thought it was a rock and went to pick it up and put it away, only to find myself in close proximity to something very prickly. When I put the light on, I found we had a hedgehog in our bed, much to our surprise!  Luckily, our dog hadn’t harmed it although how she brought it in without the prickles hurting her mouth is beyond me. Anyway, said hedgehog was placed gently outside our front gate in the garden and had taken itself off when we got up this morning.

As this was so unusual, this morning I looked up the metaphysical meaning of hedgehog: Being a nocturnal creature, the symbolism of the hedgehog deals with intuition, psychic ability, prophetic dreams and visions. … That the hedgehog’s active time is at night is symbolic of “second sight.”

Which was absolutely true as, just before I awoke this morning, I had an amazingly powerful, initiatory dream which was incredibly clear. I could remember going back eons where I was told, along with other people – women and men – that we would far in the future remember when the time was right that a ceremony would take place. I was especially instructed by the leading light, a powerful woman, that I too was powerful and must remember the details of what was being created at the beginning gathering.

I was totally confident I’d remember when the time came that I would recall the memories of this special ritual and knew exactly that the time was now. I had to go to the top of a tower with all the others also present, then run down the steps in special robes carrying a chalice of herbs. Everyone was dancing – women and men – and when I get to the bottom the powerful woman was there to tell me that I am the chosen one.

I stepped outside, to see the moon covered in clouds. But as I stepped forward holding the chalice of herbs, the clouds suddenly cleared and a huge, absolutely huge moon emerged. I held the chalice up and chanted loudly: “I Am Memory! I Am Memory! I Am Memory!” And the powerful woman stepped forward and told me I was the High Priestess of Memory.

I felt quite stunned when I woke up and exhilarated.  It explains my deep connection to rocks, stones and crystals and the memories I sense within them. And it was also exhilarating to have experienced such a powerful dream. I’ve read of dreams like this but never experienced one. They can’t be forced but, by golly, when they do turn up out of the blue – as this one has – it is quite transformational!

Crystals Galore!

Friday afternoon I was sitting creating some art pieces when I got the nudge that crystals I’d ordered from the US had arrived. Normally parcels from America turn up in roughly 2-3 weeks but this package turned up within 1.5 weeks because, yes, when my husband popped up to our post box in Alsancak, there were my crystals waiting for me, beautifully packed in a cardboard box. So my intuition is working nicely, I’m pleased to say.

I must admit that I ripped the parcel apart in my excitement to get at the crystals I’d ordered.  So here below are my gorgeous new stones,  supplied by Jan Haerer at: http://www.topazspirits.com. She sends out monthly posts about new arrivals and really has a wonderful selection of varied, high quality crystals if you’re looking for a reliable supplier.

AMETRINE SPHERE

Ametrine is a combination of amethyst and citrine so you get purple shot with pale yellow. This stone comes from Bolivia and for me is a stone of balance and creative inspiration.

PREHNITE DREAM WEAVER WITH EPIDOTE INCLUSIONS

I find this stone very soft and calming, just right as a palmstone for meditation.

SAHARA DESERT STONE WITH STRIATED GOLD, BUFF AND BROWN

I love everything from the Sahara desert, got no idea why.  I have a couple of Libyan desert glass pieces as well as a couple of rocks from the Saharan region. This one I have yet to work with but it’s really interesting, patterned one side and very smooth the other, almost like lava rock.

QUARTZ – LIGHT SMOKY WITH FELDSPAR AND DEEP TOURMALINE

This crystal is from Pakistan and is a light smoky quartz together with feldspar and one piece of deep green tourmaline along with other green tourmaline scattered through the crystal. The green tourmaline is so dark it seems almost black but looks heavenly when you hold the stone up to the light. I haven’t worked with it yet so why I’m drawn to it. I have no idea but I know, when I saw the list of new crystals on offer, that this piece called to me.

MESSINA DOUBLE-TOURMINATED QUARTZ CLUSTER WITH GREEN, DRUZY EPIDOTE

The original Messina mine was finally exhausted a few years back, but there’s been a new find of quartz in recent times and this is where this crystal cluster has come from. It’s a complex stone – multiple terminations at both ends, and at one end there’s what I think is a small gwindel formation, where the quartz grows in different directions. It is elestial at one end and has a layer of green druzy epidote at the reverse side. Again I haven’t worked with this quartz yet so have to wait until I suss out how I interaction with it.

CLEAR QUARTZ POINT

Finally, and by no means least, Jan added in a freebie for me, a clear quartz point which is small, 5cms long, but packs a real power punch. I felt it resonate with me as soon as I picked it up, and I know it’s to help me balance my energies better and assist in healing from the fungal infection I’ve had on my left foot and which has been driving me mad as the itching at night in the warm bed kept me awake throughout the night for a couple of weeks. It’s settling down now and I intended to turn this small wand into a pendant I can wear around my throat chakra.

The Magnificence of Rock and Water in Gwondanaland (Australia)

2016121421055079103

I created this image from a photo of Lake Eyre, in central Australia, in drought.

I used my Toowiz app, fiddled with a few features, and this image emerged. It reminded me not only of the wonderful land, elemental energies and rocks of Australia, but also of the water which runs through to Lake Eyre when heavy rains occur further north.
