Building New Worlds

If you look back at history, you can see that the means of production is always changing, improving the way in which production is carried out, BUT usually with horrendous results for those thrown out of jobs as innovation destroys old ways of producing things.

It’s always struck me that resisting is a very short-term way of thinking  and that, if we’re forward-looking, we can harness changes to benefit the great majority, and not just enrich the coffers of the billionaire class.

So if we look at what’s happening today with the technological revolution, robots, driverless cars and trucks, etc., then we – the people – need to be considering how we turn these changes to our advantage. I’m certainly not saying I have all the answers but I do believe that, if we act instead of reacting, we have huge opportunities to create vastly different communities, ones where creativity is nourished, where all people are respected and treated with compassion, and where education is a joy rather than the grinding chore it has been turned into today by mindless bureaucrats trying to churn out badly educated robots for business moguls.

We also need to see the world as a community of individuals, supporting and respecting each other, and organising for peaceful coexistence.

Life is more than being on a joyless treadmill, working to pay the bills or worrying how to make ends meet if you lose your job. It’s far more than sending young men and women to die horrible deaths on battle fields along with the “collateral damage” of killing the civilian population.

We can look at shorter working weeks; sustenance payments to everyone; creative education outlets to build a thriving artistic and literary aspect of society; and so on and so on. We can support politicians who oppose war and support international cooperation.

I don’t have particular answers but I can see the shoots springing up of new ways or producing and new ways of living.

And as I said in my previous post, I’m an optimist and I think humanity can move onwards and upwards with grace and flair towards building completely new ways of operating communities for the general good. Just takes some imagination, co-operation and love!

Creating the Future

I’ve been awhile posting as we’ve had a very difficult situation with a huge hotel construction site opening up beside our apartment, noise of trucks going past night and day, and huge swags of dust coating our home. It’s been extremely stressful, exacerbated my fibromyalgia, and stirred up a right old cocktail of fibro fog in my head which left me mentally very incapacitated. You might say my creative mojo went walkabout for a long time, so I had to be patient until it returned. This morning I woke up feeling far more clear-headed, so I’m not going mad, just pottering with some art, and the above is Mo’s Mojo back at work, fired up for a bit of creative action!

I started up with a close-up photo (believe it or not) of some dried sage I keep in a neat little vase on my desk, it’s a very cleansing and protective plant spirit. I never quite know what I’m going to create, just that I got a nudge and a wink to work with the sage.

I fiddled around with various gizmos on Toolwiz, gradually growing the image until I got a plain version of the above, but felt it needed some magic within it. So I did a search for apps and found GlitterPhoto which is brilliant to use and added in all the sparkly bits.

Then I looked at it and wondered what the heck it represented!  Finally I remembered clear dream I had a while back where I was floating above the earth and looking at all the happenings below. I realised that, although it looked chaotic, there was in fact a sense of purposeful patterns below the seeming chaos. That’s what the above image represents – seeming chaos but magical change happening inexorably.

I believe we’re in a real upheaval here on this planet – a fundamental realignment where the interests of the very many are fighting their way to the surface, not just for humanity but for Mother Earth and all sentient creatures on board. We cannot leave our future to the billionaire class because it’s like Jabba the Hut, always looking to get more fat and bloated without any regard for the continued existence of this planet or future generations.

I think it’s exciting but only if we are co-creators – which means we have to get into action to create a future with a higher purpose. I’ve often looked at the battles which have gone on in the past when great upheaval has taken place – the advent of the industrial age, for example, and more currently technological change with the industrial age dying away. All too often, change has been accompanied by resistance, mainly because the employing class uses new technology to enrich itself and impoverish the very many.

But if we accept change is happening, if we step up to the plate, we can create a future which is quite different – where creativity is unleashed, where people stop being passive and become active, where technological advances are used for the whole of society not to be hogged by a super-wealthy minority. So I’m adding in John Lennon’s “Imagine” because I think it’s a brilliant composition and it is intertwined with the above image!

I Am Memory!

Around 2.30am, my husband let our dogs out and Maggie Mae came back to drop something on the bed beside me. I thought it was a rock and went to pick it up and put it away, only to find myself in close proximity to something very prickly. When I put the light on, I found we had a hedgehog in our bed, much to our surprise!  Luckily, our dog hadn’t harmed it although how she brought it in without the prickles hurting her mouth is beyond me. Anyway, said hedgehog was placed gently outside our front gate in the garden and had taken itself off when we got up this morning.

As this was so unusual, this morning I looked up the metaphysical meaning of hedgehog: Being a nocturnal creature, the symbolism of the hedgehog deals with intuition, psychic ability, prophetic dreams and visions. … That the hedgehog’s active time is at night is symbolic of “second sight.”

Which was absolutely true as, just before I awoke this morning, I had an amazingly powerful, initiatory dream which was incredibly clear. I could remember going back eons where I was told, along with other people – women and men – that we would far in the future remember when the time was right that a ceremony would take place. I was especially instructed by the leading light, a powerful woman, that I too was powerful and must remember the details of what was being created at the beginning gathering.

I was totally confident I’d remember when the time came that I would recall the memories of this special ritual and knew exactly that the time was now. I had to go to the top of a tower with all the others also present, then run down the steps in special robes carrying a chalice of herbs. Everyone was dancing – women and men – and when I get to the bottom the powerful woman was there to tell me that I am the chosen one.

I stepped outside, to see the moon covered in clouds. But as I stepped forward holding the chalice of herbs, the clouds suddenly cleared and a huge, absolutely huge moon emerged. I held the chalice up and chanted loudly: “I Am Memory! I Am Memory! I Am Memory!” And the powerful woman stepped forward and told me I was the High Priestess of Memory.

I felt quite stunned when I woke up and exhilarated.  It explains my deep connection to rocks, stones and crystals and the memories I sense within them. And it was also exhilarating to have experienced such a powerful dream. I’ve read of dreams like this but never experienced one. They can’t be forced but, by golly, when they do turn up out of the blue – as this one has – it is quite transformational!

Elemental Pendant

We have building works going on right beside us creating enormous amounts of dust and noise, so I decided to bring inside the crystals and stones I had on a table on the verandah beside my office. I have had a huge piece of petrified wood for years, since I lived in Boonah, south-east Queensland. It’s from Mt French, the big mountain close to Boonah, and a friend gave it to me. This time, as I picked it up, a piece broke off much to my suprise. However, I held it and felt it was calling to be made into a pendant, a grounding piece of the earth element with links to earth elementals.

So I painted it with gold and rainbow glitter nail polish, something I wouldn’t normally do as I like my stones au naturel, but these seemed to inspire a connection with the earth elememtals. Then I added a gold wrap, an aquamarine stone to honour water elementals, and clear and purple Swarovski-type flatbacks to represent the spiritual connections of this pendant.

This piece has a very powerful, ground energy with deep links within Mother Earth.  She also keeps me connected with Australia where I lived for over 40 years.

Love – the Infinite Blessing

Love for people is far more important to me than love of money.  Love is the engine of the universe and those who worship the almighty dollar and live for the dollar are denying their hearts the power and wisdom of love which, to me, is the engine of the universe.

Colours of Life

Once upon a time, in a galaxy far away, well, Perth, Western Australia, to be precise, I used to wear black all the time – black tops, black pants, black hair. I suffered from depression and I was fat, so I felt that wearing black made me look slimmer.

Then I did a a Reiki 1 course and it seemed to open a light inside me. As I was leaving the workshop on the second day,  I saw a short, fat lady wearing black who didn’t look any slimmer and was still fat, and so it occurred to me that I was a taller woman wearing black to look slim and still looked fat!

The next day I went into Perth’s biggest department store and bought a brightly coloured cotton dress, just right for the heat of summer, and which made an amazing difference to my life.  I felt lighter but, interestingly, quite a few people came up to me to tell me how much they liked the dress and colours. My husband reckoned it was my Ken Done dress as Ken Done was an Australian artist who always painted in very bright colours.

So here’s a reminder to you all – colours make your life. They light up your life. Tune in to colour and see how it affects your life. And find your favourite colour to work with to resonate with your heart and soul energies.
