About Me

I’m Mo Davies, a Reiki Master, writer, artist, Tarot reader, dabbler in astrology and all-round crazy crone and wild woman. As I’m 66, I reckon I’m entitled to be as raucous as I want t be, it’s one of the perks of becoming a Community Elder.

It’s taken a long time for me to realise I’m a writer and all-round communicator.  I’ve loved inter-acting with people, writing and communicating in any way possible all my life and now I realise it’s a gift and talent for which I’m profoundly thankful and grateful.  Above all I love to sing, dance, hug and celebrate the fact I’ve got through to 66 and I’m ALIVE!

It’s only by listening to my own inner voice that I’ve come home to myself as a writer and creative artist.  In that process I’ve gone through many health challenges which have led me into healing and spiritual paths I never would otherwise have encountered. I have worked with reflexology, metamorphosis, educational kinesiology, cranio-sacral therapy, flower essences, understanding dreams, Reiki and, of course, the stone spirits in my journey to well-being.

My experiences have led me to the belief that the heart, not the head, is our window to true healing by returning to our own personal Song embedded in our souls .I still dance (a sort of slow salsa) with fibromyalgia, which is somewhat erratic and causes mobility problems.  It’s why I work from home and why I’ve created this space on the Web to offer my views on art, tarot, astrology, social justice and passion in all its forms to encourage you to dance with life as it’s meant to be for you as a perfectly wonderful individual.

I am passionate about art and writing. My journey to this understanding and peace with myself has come through my affinity with rocks, stones and crystals which have inspired my creativity.  The idea of myself as an artist with creative ability still fills me with wonder.  It wasn’t until I went to a mandala workshop when I was 48 and created a healing painting for myself that I realized I see the world as symbols and colours, rather than real-life. Understanding that I see people and the world as colours and symbols has helped me recognize my own individual path of creativity and inspired my art work.

I am also writing my book as a blog which is focused on my own healing journey and travels through personal and spiritual growth.  My book blog can be found at:

I have presented workshops on:

* Mandalas for Self-Healing

* Crystal Healing

* Colours, Crystals and Healing

* Live Your Dream

* Understanding Dreams

* Reiki 1, 2, 3 & Master/Teacher Level.

  1. Go on with your Earth Goddess bearing of light love and joy self… My soul is wide open sopping up the love you radiate! Bravo, so glad to find you focussed in the world at this time! Sweet dreams and may those of mine richly inspire you… perhaps, we should have flying dream together!

    1. Thank you so much, Ann, it’s as if I’ve come full circle as I’d forgotten how much I loved Mother Nature as a kid. Now I’m back where I started and I am so enjoying my connection with nature again.

    1. Wow, thank you, Brigid, I really appreciate this. I know some people down like awards, but I think it demonstrates the support that people in the blogging community give each other. All the best for 2014.

      1. Hi Mo. Thanks for your following too. I have also hundreds of rocks, crystals and gemstones in my home, as I use very often. They are so beautiful and I love to work with them.

    1. Lovely to hear from you Teagan but no, I’m not a better version of anyone, just me. I’m quite sure that you are a fantastic version of you, your blog is really interesting and I’m so pleased to be in contact.

    1. Thank you so much, I know I’ve had awards but I really do appreciate getting them, it’s nice to feel appreciated. And good timing, as I’ve decided to sort out all my awards today!

      1. Yeay, Mo!! You are one of my favorite bloggers, my dear! I so enjoy every single post! I’ve started sorting mine as well! Thank YOU and you are most definitely appreciated by all of us who simply adore you and your blog! Big hugs, Cher xo

  2. I am following your blog before I even read a word of it, and doing so purely on the basis of its name and your gravatar bio self-description. Got to be fun going on here.

    1. Thanks, Gil – I created it after I’d posted a pic of me in a ginger wig, I was stuffing around, but I don’t think people were too impressed so I created this photo in response 😀

    1. Hi, there – glad to be in touch and to follow your blog, I love the handicrafts you’re creating, they’re lovely. I hope it’s appropriate to say that I wish Allah bless you too and your loved ones, take care and stay in peace.

  3. Hey Mo
    I’ve nominated you for an award. Wonderful team membership reader award.

    It’s up to you if you’d like it but it’s basically a thank you for your support! I really like your comments and enjoy your blog too!

  4. Hey there Newbie Spikey!
    (for your info, a Spikey is the term for folk who are part of the clan known to be followers of Uncle Spike 🙂

    Thank you… I really appreciate that as I for one, know how many interesting and entertaining blogs are out there.
    Blogging since June 2013, my aim is to deliver an eclectic offering of posts, from my ‘point n shoot’ attempts at basic photography, to the sharing of my travel adventures over the decades, as well as day to day happenings here on the farm. Oh, plus a few observations, opinions and lighter-hearted stuff thrown in for good measure.

    I normally keep to a couple of posts a day, maybe 3-4 at weekends if I have something special to share. But if you are at a loose end one day, maybe you’ll enjoy trawling through some of my older stuff too. I have added plenty of categories to help in said digging process.

    Thanks again and hope you have a great day…

      1. Yes, He Who Must Be Obeyed does have delusions of grandeur, doesn’t it? Shame to see Turkey sliding towards dictatorship. It will be interesting to see what happens here in North Cyprus as the recent talks between the North and the South have, well, slipped into the Mediterranean and drowned again.

      2. I must be honest, it would be nice to drive to South Cyprus without the rigmarole of border crossings, extra car insurance (expensive) for the south, and hope to be treated with politeness instead of aggro!

  5. Hi. I was wondering if you would be interested in doing a Pinpal project with Kate & I. I’m not sure what the best method of contacting you is. I’m on twitter at @evadiva0516. or my email is holley4734@gmail.com. 🙂 The basic idea is to have several people do a small piece of art for a bigger project.

    1. Thank you very much, Sally. I overlooked your post as it arrived as I was switching from Outlook Express to another e-mail server, caused heaps of hassles, but I think I’m on top of everything. I’ve accepted your nomination in my most recent post and also answered your questions!

  6. Hi Mo. You’ve visited my blog a couple of times recently (July 2015) and when I click on your avatar to visit you back, I get a web site in Chinese (I think). The url is http://www.crazycrone.com. I googled crazycrone and I found you at (here): http://www.crazycrone.org. Looks like somebody in China’s bought your dotcom site. I think all you probably need to do is change the url on your avatar, but I’m no techie geek. Otherwise, you might be losing a lot of traffic. 🙂

      1. Happy to know we are reconnected. This happened to me. If you google ‘annisik.com’ you’ll see that a Chinese company bought it. It looks exactly like yours. I’m now ‘annisikarts’.

      2. Hi, Ann – I hope I’ve fixed the connection issues, I clicked on my photo on a post on a blog I follow, and it took me straight to my gravatar and two websites, so I hope I’ve fixed the problem now. Again, thanks for letting me know about the Chinese company that’s pinched my original ID.
