For Sale: Zultanite Pendant

Zultanite pendant 2

For sale: Zultanite Pendant with Marcasite surround – 3cm x 2.5cm. US$40. Postage with tracking number: US$7.50.

Zultanite (from “Sultan”) is a rare stone from the Ilbir Mountains in the Milas county of Muğla in south-western Turkey.

This crystal is famous for its ability to change colour, but that’s mainly the most expensive pieces. It’s hard to pin down the colour in this pendant – it’s a grey/green/yellow translucent, striated stone which is why I’ve included three photos.

I bought it for myself but this past week bought another Zultanite pendant which resonates far deeper for me, which is why I’m releasing this pendant. I quite often find I buy a rock but it’s to caretake it until the person turns up for whom it’s intended (if that doesn’t too nutty!).

Zultanite contains traces of iron, chromium, titanium and manganese, and while it’s believed that manganese is responsible for its color changing ability, the other trace elements present may also play a role.

If you’re waiting for me to tell you the metaphysical properties of this stone, don’t. I always say that each stone has resonance for the person who is drawn to it and who needs to listen to how it dances or sings with the individual. I’ve never felt anything particular with this piece of Zultanite, whereas the new piece I’m wearing talks to me of my inner Queen and power.

    • It’s interesting what jewellery attracts us, isn’t it? I’ve seen people walk up my stall when I did markets, state firmly the crystal they wanted, and then they walk off with a completely different stone!

    • Hi, Carole – Yes, I do have the pendant. It had slight damage at the bottom end and I’ve added a small Herkimer Diamond. The price would be US$40 including postage and tracking number. Let me know if you’re still interested and I’ll post you a pic of the pendant.
