This is another digital art interpretation of a photo I found on the internet of Glen Coe, Scotland.
The lights represent the magic and power of Scotland, while the faint brickwork behind in the sky reflects the hard times of the past and present.
The whole image is a tribute to the people of Scotland, to the hardships and atrocities of the past imposed by English forces, to those driven overseas by English rule, to those today in their beloved homeland, and to the courage of Scottish people in preserving their heritage, country and culture.
Caledonia, by Dougie Maclean, reflects the call of Scotland to those who live in this beautiful country now, to those forced into exile in the past and to those who now also live in faraway places.

I love the energy and complex beauty of this photo. It does give a sense of the Scottish hardship and their resilience.

Thanks, Otto. I did live for 6 months in Scotland but, sadly, I’m used to sub-tropical conditions, not so hardy as the Scottish, so moved further south. Lovely place though.
