For Crow-Lovers

Yes, folks, I’ve done it again – got a good shot of four hooded crows who landed on a tree in front of our kitchen.

Hooded crows are native to North Cyprus and around this region. They’re smaller than the crows I used to see in Australia and tend to be more solitary. But this is part of the family of crows nesting near here – Ma, Pa and three young ones.

My husband noticed them landing and called me – three had already landed and a fourth turned up just as I stepped into our kitchen. Luckily I’d left my camera on the kitchen cabinet, grabbed it, and hey presto!  captured the Gang of Four just seconds before they all took off!

Thank You for “actually” reading my posts and the poems (*^_^*).

Nice shot of the crows (^_^); one of my favourite creatures, more specifically, ravens (^_^).

    • I try to take the time to read all blogs to which I subscribe as I find the world so interesting, sometimes I may miss a day due to health reasons, but I hope people extend the same courtesy to me when I post blogs. If people take the time to write a post, I like to honour them by reading that post.

      • Like you, I think if one follows a site, it’s only courteous to read or view it when time permits; otherwise, it’s simply dishonest to follow someone just to gain a follower in return. Besides, i believe, you should treat others as you’d like to be treated. I also tend to go through old posts when I can so I can understand the site “owner” a wee bit more whenever I can (^_^).

I hope you’re in the best of health and conditions and life ALWAYS treats you with kindness (^_^).

        Peace v(^_^)v

    • I was really lucky with this shot – the crows sat there unmoving and I was able to take the photo inside our kitchen. They are very skittish birds and any time I’ve tried to go outside for a shot, they’ve taken flight. Dead luck with this one, and I really value my Lumix camera, it’s got a great clarity, I bought it when I left Australia to move to North Cyprus as it was compact, great zoom, and had a battery charger. The guy in the camera shop recommended it and he was spot on.
